Welcome to another episode of
Saturday Scavenger Shots!
If you wanna know the rules...
check out laura b. at What Fresh Hell Is This?
Tara at Eclectic Spaghetti.
Both can be found on my sidebar there...>

Our word this week...
picked by the silly rabbit herself...
is "CRAZY".
Picked right on the spot with no thought
of how to show CRAZY in a photo.

But as luck would have it...
It's ST. Patrick's Day!
I cannot think of a CRAZY-er holiday.

Where people dress up in CRAZY outfits!

Where people dress their pets in CRAZY outfits...

A CRAZY sort of holiday devoted to drinking...

And who's CRAZY idea was it to dye our
beer green anyway?

And I suspect that some CRAZY people
who over do it will be feeling a bit
green tomorrow.

Oh and let's not forget the grammar school child's
favorite portion of St. P's CRAZY-ness...
getting to pinch anyone not
wearing green.

Whatever you do this weekend,
be safe, be smart and enjoy!

I'll leave you with this thought...

Saint Patrick was a gentleman
Who through strategy and stealth
Drove all the snakes from Ireland
Here's a drinkee to his health!

But not too many drinkees
Lest we lose ourselves and then...
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see them snakes again!

  1. Today turned out to be a perfect day for crazy photos! Really great choice of word and great photos too. Craziness abounds :) I also like that toast at the end....cheers!!!

Who will you tag for next week?

  2. charles and camilla are a terrifying pair in that picture! the dog...oh the poor dog, lol. happy st paddy's!

  3. laura b.- Let's see... I'll tag Mrs. Harry Woman! (If she is free and willing.) It did turn out well for both of us. I am extremely fond of Irish prose in any form from poetry to blessings and toasts. I added the "Cheers!" myself. It seemed to need it. =;]

lime-Why you wear the perfect name for St. Patrick's Day! Does it make you pinch proof? Ha.

Oh yes, Charles and Camilla are quite frightful, if that isn't CRAZY I don't know what is. I feel for the pooch too. The things we do to our man's best friends! lol
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too! Enjoy!

  4. I had to laugh when I saw Camilla and Charles all dressed up and that dog is pretty funny too..

Hope you had a Happy St. Patty's Day..

  5. I also choose "Animal" for next weeks word!

  6. Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day! Great idea to use that for examples of "crazy"! We had unseasonably warm and beautiful weather for the parade yesterday. Usually it's all rainy and cold! I wish I could've gone. Maybe next year; rain or shine.

  7. Mrs. Harry Woman- I had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. The first time in my memory that I have not had corned beef and cabbage. In fact, I didn't even have a drop of liquid smiles. But it was a great day. I think "Animal" will be fun! Thank you.

Tara- Well thank you! Same to you. We also had a fine beautiful day here. We worked in the yard until dark began to fall. It felt so good to get out in the sunshine! I hope you get to go to your parade next year. We don't have one here. =:[

  8. That is the best dog costume I've ever seen.

I don't get the green beer thing. I like my beer beer-colored - which I'm pretty sure is also how the Irish like it.

  9. Secret Agent Woman- I don't get the green beer thing either.

That dog costume was too great to pass up. I laughed out loud when I saw it. Roxy would hang her head in shame, but that pup sure looks happy.
