Just a nice photo of the falls where I used to live.
This is my happy place.
I'm hoping that gazing at this photo
will help me to relax the spasm in my back.
Breathe... in...out...in...
Well this is it...
the day our life together changes will be here tomorrow.
In the morning I will make the 35 minute drive
(if not longer depending on traffic)
to my new job.
=:/
I will leave before the man gets home...
and he will be in bed by the time I get home.
I will be in bed when he gets up to leave...
and then it will begin again.
So it goes.
in...out...in...out
Here's praying that this is a transitional period between what you need to do and what you want to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cricket! I am too. One way or another it will be temporary. I'm hoping its not a long temporary. =;]
DeleteThat is a beautiful, soothing photo. I really hope this work situation is resolved soon. But with the man's schedule won't a lot of jobs put you two on conflicting hours? Or are you trying to work nights too?
ReplyDeleteI can hear the water in my head. =:]
DeleteIt will. We need for me to work, so ideal or not, I can't turn it down... and the Emp. Div. would not let me anyway.
I would like a job that works out where I have at least one weekend a month and some time in the day where we are both awake. Maybe this will provide that. I asked when I would work and the attitude was vague and sort of threat in tone... when ever we need you to work. But count on working the weekends.
Very strange! I am used to the "demand respect for the work you do" ethic of the school district. I feel a bit like I am 16 and working at my first job, not being someone with over 20 years of retail experience and 16 of education related work. Sheesh.
I suppose my ego is bruised. Oh well. I am abusable at this point.
What a beautiful photo! I can understand how it is your happy place! The splendor of the waterfall...the sound that makes must bring sheer joy to you! It would to me, too.
ReplyDeleteAs you begin your travel to and from work tomorrow, please know that you will be preceded by prayers from me for you. I have already prayed that you will have a great day...that there will be wonderful opportunities in your path that wouldn't have been there otherwise and that you will be a blessing to everyone you are in contact with. Likewise, I hope that those with whom you work and meet tomorrow (and the days following) will be blessings to you, my friend.
Great big hugs to you....
Jackie
Jackie, you are an absolute sweetheart! Thank you.
DeleteI felt better today, though not yet back to being me. But we had classes and I was seated, so I got through it nicely. The people I work with seem nice, and I like that.
I LOVE that photo.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's going well for you so far. Good luck with the new job!
I survived Tara! And I am exhausted. I think it will be okay.
DeleteRemember to treasure the moments you DO have together and make them so magical that when you do get back on a schedule that affords you more time together it will be something looked forward to with big smiles! God bless. I'll say a prayer now for some good times ahead.
ReplyDeleteSuldog, you are a true romantic! You must make your wife very happy. I will take your advice and make those moments count. Thanks for the prayers!
Deletecongrats on the job! you've got me thinking of the beatles hello-goodbye.
ReplyDeletePretty much the way its going. But I talked to the schedule person and after my firs week they will put me on a schedule that allows me to have a couple of hours with Randy when we are both awake. Yippeeee!
Deletethat's an absolutely gorgeous picture. congrats on the job though i understand why you have angst about the schedule. here's hoping that perhaps hours can be adjusted somewhat sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteOnce I get through this training period, I will get hours that actually allow me to see the man for a few hours when he gets home before I have to go in. So that is good news!
DeleteCongratulations on your new job. Once you settle in, and they realize you're a good worker, you may find that they will work with you on your schedule. Give it some time.
ReplyDeleteReferencing your "breathe" photo... I'm not lucky enough to have had a local waterfall, but, as I'm writing this comment, I am lucky enough to be watching Poofyhead, a juvenile cardinal, at our birdfeeder. He has a red tail, so we're assuming he's a male, and he has the tallest crest I've ever seen. He stands out in the crowd.
Whatever makes you breathe is a good thing :-)
I don't have any pretty birds here. We have typical old sparrows, some not very attractive jays and cow birds. But we do have some awesome raptors on rare occasions. I bet your cardinal is a handsome fellow!
